This team is cursed. Freaking what a unbelievable way to freaking give up runs and lose.
Inning was over. But not for the Tigers.

Guardians 8 - Tigers 4: Detroit blows chance to take season series against Cleveland.
Andrew Chafin struck out the first three batters in the eighth, but the Tigers still gave up four runs in the frame.

Tonight was the first time since inning-by-inning data began in 1974 that a team struck out 4 times in an inning and scored 6+ runs.

I posted this yesterday

Starters in August

Manning (3) 3.71 era
Alexander (3) 3.71 era
Hill (3) 1.62 era
Hutchinson (3) 3.31 era
Garcia (2) 2.70 era

relievers that have pitched more than 6 innings

Soto 6.48
Lange 6.43
Chafin 2.57
Vest 8.10
Jimenez 6.75
Foley 4.26

My guess is the BP is gassed

The Detroit Tigers just managed to win 2 games in a row this week.
When was the last time they did that? July 7th and 8th. Almost 6 weeks ago.

The rehab assignment for RHP Michael Pineda has been transferred to Triple A Toledo.

Harold Castro was removed from the game with left thumb soreness.

This trade seems to have been a terrible idea. This guy can't stay healthy.

This year, but he's been healthy his whole career up til now. I'm betting he'll be fine next year.

Outside of a 2 week stretch, Paredes has been awful.

I think he has missed about 20 games due to injury every season until this one. 2020 his 20 games missed were about 40% of the entire season. Now he is going to miss at least 60% of this season. Not sure what makes anyone think he isn't injury prone.

Missing 20 games out of 162 makes him injury prone? Looking at his game logs from last year he never sat more than 1 game in a row so they look like off days.
