Days of Roar Tigers Podcast: Recapping Scott Harris' impromptu dugout press meeting. 75 minutes.

This week, Mark and Evan take some time to review Scott Harris' surprise press conference. Is this team going to compete for the AL Central? What does Harris see in player development? The guys go over his responses and more.

Later, we have another question round of "The Big Two". What's the likelihood this team could actually win their division and are there specific dates we can look towards for the return of Matt Manning and Tarik Skubal? The guys also go over who's starting to heat up offensively and which bullpen arms might need a tweak in their mechanics.

Tigers outfielder Riley Greene (left fibula stress reaction) ran in the outfield today at about 60, 70 percent, he estimated.
He was wearing an aircast/protective boot but said he hopes to be rid of it soon.

Matt Vierling (back spasms) will miss a third straight game even though the Royals have a lefty on the hill.
A.J. Hinch said if Vierling missed today he would go from not worried to somewhat concerned.

"Why is Ibanez batting 3rd"?
"Ibanez is batting 3rd because he leads the team in xSLG and xWOBA".

Detroit Tigers: Andy Ibanez has rewarded the team for sticking with him.

This is a really good example of the Tigers' new analytical approach in action. They saw a stat that suggested things should be different than they actually were for a player, stuck with the player, and it's paying off. Hopefully Ibanez can keep this up, and we can see even more success stories like this in the future.

I know carpenter struggles against lhp but he can't be any worse then what the Tigers have
Use tonight so far.

Roger's just misses a damn homer. Couldn't keep it fair and k's on the next pitch.
Frustrating.

Vierling walk wild pitch moves runners up
Shirt walks to load bases.

Spencer grounds out with bases loaded.
So frustrating.
