from the Tigers official site

Miguel Cabrera returns to the Tigers lineup tonight, apparently feeling better after two days to rest up. That’s the good news for Detroit. The bad news is that Jose Iglesias is out of the lineup, presumably still limited by shin splints. Ramon Santiago will bat ninth and play short.

After 15 years the Tigers finally got what they've aways wanted: I was fired by @delawarenorth #Sportservice this morning.

Is everybody outta town on this forum? Cuz I just switched over from the Jewish and African American and Shriners board and let me tell you, it was more lively than this one.

Jackson grounds out to short,

Torii lines it down the rightfield line for a single,

Miggy swings and misses a changeup,

Prince fouls it back, changeup low, grounder to second in shallow right,

shields with 11 pitches.

I am totally new to these forums. I joined mostly because I want to join in the Tiger discussions, as I can never seem to catch enough Tigers talk on ESPN. I named myself twentythree in honor of Kirk Gibson.

Go Tigers!!!!

Hopefully the Tigers get back to their winning ways tonight.

I like to look at the stats on Baseballreference.com. I noticed that the Tigers are batting .285, which is best in the league. I looked back on the historical information on BR.com, and I found that in 2007, the Tigers batted .287 as a team. I didn't find any other year when the Tigers batted over .280, other than 1934. (I did not check all years.) It is great to see the Tigers in the top of several offensive categories this year. I just hope the team brings the good pitching to the playoffs!

Come on Sanchez....we need you to have it together today.

Holy shit...we made a play at the plate!

Seems like last time was when Pena got that guy and got drilled at home but hung on to the ball.

Let him steal with no throw and a single plates him. 1-0.

We really need to do something about that free steals for everybody thing with this team

Sanchez pitching 1st inning,

gordon slices a double to the leftfield corner,

bonafartsio sac bunt and nice pick and throw to first by Sanchez,

hogheadhosmer grounder to Prince throw is high but Avila tags him in time,

chunkybuttler strike call and hosmer steals second too easily, single up the middle hosmer scores, 24 straight successful stolen bases against the Tigers, dating back to Aug. 7,

mousmalakas full count, grounder foul, again, grounder to Prince flips to Sanchez,

Sanchez with 15 pitches,

1 - 0.

might as well just award doubles for singles. ridiculous.

Maybe keeping them off first base a little more often would go a long way.

Come post season, if they get there, not being able to throw a runner out once in awhile could really bite us in the arse
