well, if OSU is kept out of the BIG10 championship game, maybe they can delay the game a week

I was listening to ESPN U and the commentators were saying that if there is another BIG 10 team without an opponent this weekend, they could possibly change the schedule. Makes sense.
 
Worst thing out of all this is Harbaugh will keep his job. I think some of us said this exact thing would happen weeks ago.

It's absolutely ridiculous how much the league is going to do to cater to those fucking scumbags. They're either going to setup another game or waive the 6 game rule. 2 of the games they missed were their own fault and as much as I'm sure they think that this is Michigan dodging an embarrassing loss who is to say it wasn't gamesmanship on their part giving themselves a 2 wek bye heading into the game. Fuck OSU. They didn't meet the requirements, they should be out.

I think the league would cater to any team that was in this situation. It's not about OSU, it's about the extra $ the Big10 teams would get if a member gets into the playoffs. I heard anywhere between $500k-$1M. Every athletic dept. is making financial cuts due to the pandemic...they just want the $$$. They would do it for UM, IU, or any other team in this situation.

I don't normally like to take Alvarez's side but you can easily make the case that it's the league's fault that OSU is getting screwed. It's also their opponents fault more than theirs - wasn't each cancellation due to a spike in cases for their opponents, not them? They wouldn't be in this position if the B1G hadn't panicked and delayed the season, putting the entire league behind the 8 ball.

When people say it's a rigged game when they change the rules, which rule change are they talking about? the one that cancelled the season before it started? the one that reversed that and said it would be delayed and shortened? or the one they're considering that says it's beyond stupid to send a team that OSU basically dominated to the Championship game because that team got to play 2 more .500 or worse teams than the Buckeyes did? It's hard to take all the whining seriously when these same people act like a bunch of entitled hypocrites when the rigged game works out in their favor as it so often does.

Plus of those 3 cancelled games, weren't they all because of outbreaks for their opponents, not for OSU?

MD & UM cancelled the other 2

Tis the season for made up bowl game names! It's my favorite part of bowl season because the games suck.
