TIGERS CONTINUE HOMESTAND WITH THREE VS. WHITE SOX: The Tigers continue their longest homestand of 2022 tonight as they begin a three-game series against the White Sox. Detroit and Chicago have not played since the first weekend of the season when the White Sox won two-of-three games.

ALEXANDER THE GREAT: Alex Lange continues to impress out of the Tigers bullpen, striking out two in a scoreless inning yesterday against Toronto. Lange has not allowed a run in 22-of-26 appearances this season and has given up just two earned runs in his last 23 appearances, posting a 0.82 ERA (22.0IP/2ER) with 26 strikeouts. Dating back to July 1, 2021, Lange ranks fourth among all Major League relievers (min. 35 appearances) with a 1.43 ERA (44.0IP/7ER) and eighth in SLG against (.244).

BULLPENING AT ITS BEST: The Tigers bullpen threw 5.0 innings in yesterday?s game, allowing two runs and striking out four. Detroit?s relievers have combined for a 2.82 ERA (229.2IP/72ER), which ranks second in the Majors, trailing only Houston (2.63 ERA). Dating back to 1974, just four Detroit bullpens have had a lower ERA through 59 games in a season: 2.36 in 1974, 2.47 in 1984, 2.67 in 1982 and 2.74 in 1988.

3 runs tonight? What has gotten into this team? Already at their weekly average.

I know Baez got a RBI sac fly but that 2-0 pitch down in the dirt and he swings at. Dang.

It was a big night for Kody Clemens, at least.

Detroit Tigers find some offense, but pitching, defense stumble in 9-5 loss to White Sox.
