Kid played 4 years at ND. Had a great senior year with 41pts(15g/26a), which was second in the nation for defenseman and 24th for all skaters. From what the bloggers at WiiM think, they say he is not the kind of guy that will spend time in grand rapids for a couple more years to develop. He may be like Dekeyser and be ready soon, if not now. They are speculating that there could be a trade in the works now that we have a logjam at ready Dmen.

It's an interesting signing. We see so many prospects laying up to the draft, and so many midseason lists of farm seasons, it can be wary to forget about those guys that stay in college. Russo looks like a solid pickup.
