my real name is Nick. The Whole jimmygank thing was an ESPN name based on a friend of mine who used that as an alter ego. I haven't seen him in an over a decade. Time to retire it lol

This my poker SN and what I use on everything else going back 15 years
Nick it is. Btw, my name isn't Mitch - its after a character in a book. Real name Robert.

If you'd like we can merge your two accounts together and you can pick which name you keep, but it'll give you your old account back. Just need some basic information about your original account and we can make that happen :)

Hey guys,

We're still working to add more features to DSF. Right now, I'm working on providing more options in our Avatar Gallery. I'm trying to have it so that folks can select all the different sports team logos as their avatar. We'll certainly have all the local Detroit/Michigan sports teams, but I'd also like to have all NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, etc. :)

Anyway, this is what that looks like:

You can access the Avatar Gallery by clicking on your avatar on your profile page. That's where you change your avatar on XenForo. You can also access it through this link: https://detroitsportsforum.com/account/avatar :D

I've added all NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL, and MLS. Then I've got the SEC and Big 10 added as far as NCAA goes so far.

SEC? Do we have any secret Alabama or Georgia fans? Tennesee fan, Mordis? Tsk tsk..

Definitely not a fan of Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee. I’ve hated the Vols all my life. Anchor Down!

Cam or Crystal, How do we send private messages to another member?
If you hover over the user's name or click on it you will see a member card pop up, there will be a "Start Conversation" button on that card, click on that and off you go :)

Cam or Crystal, Please remind me of where the members birthdays are? with the vBulletin it showed who had a birthday every day on the main page to the site.

It's still going to appear on the side on the main page of the forums, when someone has a birthday :)

Okay, well I looked under members and saw a birthday link. A poster who has a birthday today was not listed.
Are posters removed if they haven't posted in a few years with the new XenForo?

Not to my knowledge, they should show up so long as their birthdays are listed in their profiles. If you want to tell me their username I can look into their profile and see if their birthday is listed?

I have done some digging on this and it appears XF changes their display options to not display in today's birthday if they have not been active in over a year. I'm looking into an option to change this.

@kalinecountry, we've installed an add-on for this. You will now see all birthdays in the widgets (side tables) on the index page, regardless of when they last logged in.
