I wish he'd dive now and again but this time it was 10-2. And I don't want him to break anything.

good point now that you put it that way. just hope we don't see something like that in a close game.

I'm not sure he'll change. But a WS game protecting a 1-run lead he damn skippy better.

Ausmus says Sanchez would have gone back out but then they had that big half inning and he sat too long. They didn't want to push it with the shoulder.

And Ausmus already says he's already out of adjectives and words to describe Miggy's hitting.

We have already. Game 4 of the 2012 WS. With the winning run on second in the 10th inning.

I know none of us think he should dive a lot...but how can you be a major league outfielder and NEVER dive? It doesn't make any sense. It's actually instinctual for players to dive. You see the ball and know what you need to do to give yourself a chance to make that catch...which is why every other baseball player on the field occasionally dives for a baseball.

Jackson should have caught that ball in CF but refuses to dive.

All the defensive metrics they have just don't seem to get it right.
Thing is, as we know, Jackson doesn't dive for anything. Add in his taking a step back defensively in CF last year, and any superlatives fall a bit short despite his fine plays going back.
