Game 3: Orioles @ Tigers Thread

Cabrera only the 9th player to get 2000 hits before his 31st birthday.

That dude has a picture perfect swing. Best hitter of this generation. Better than pre-roids Bonds.

Martinez up with nobody on, 2 out

Martinez on a full count hits one to left to keep the inning alive, 1 on 2 out

Every Tiger today has reached on either a hit or a walk

Jackson gets jammed, but grounds one into left for another hit, Martinez to 2nd 2 on, 2 out

Webb is done, Hunter will replace him

If Martinez scores, every Tiger will have a run today

Avila looks at a 2-2 breaking ball for a called 3rd, 3 out

Tigers lead 10-2 now going into the 9th

Don Kelly sighting!

Joba is on to face the Orioles and demand someone bring him Solo and the Wookie.

A few switches

Chamberlain in for Krol
Collins replaces Hunter in RF
Kelly replaces Cabrera at 1st

Cruz hits an 0-2 pitch to left for a single, 1 on

Clevenger hits one deep to center, Jackson can't get it, all the way to the wall, Cruz scores, Clevenger with a stand up triple

Baltimore adds a run, 10-3 now

Schoop swings on the first pitch, line drive to center, Clevenger scores, Schoop to first

10-4 now

So it looks like Joba will be one of those guys that can only enter the game if we are up or down 6 runs or more.

Jackson should have caught that ball in CF but refuses to dive.

Flaherty strikes out on 3 pitches, 1 on, 1 out

Lombardozzi hits a line drive to center, 2 on, 1 out

Joba has given up 4 hits to 5 batters, rockin a 54.00 ERA and 12.00 WHIP

why is Nathan warming up?

Because Baltimore is 1 HR from this being a save situation I'd imagine.

Well with the outs, I guess not technically a save situation. But as we've seen in the past it's a slippery slope.
