We need a manager who understand roles can be switched up. The idea that Joba always get's the 8th and Nathan always gets the 9th in a save situation has cost us a shitload of games in the regular season as well.

I wasn't much of a fan of Leyland, either. He was an amazing clubhouse manager, but his game management left a lot to be desired. He was WAY better than Dartmouth though.


Still doesnt mean I want an old-school manager. Its time to move forward in that regard. I thought we had with Ausmus, but that was just wishful thinking.

Baltimore has a lock down closer that they almost released before the season.. yet, we can't even find a decent middle or setup man while spending millions of dollars. Scouting sucks for sure, and so does DD's approach. Replace our free agent hitters with guys who get on base and can run. Hunter cannot be re-signed. Go get a CF who is capable of starting every day and gets on base. Go get every fucking reliever who had success this year and decide who can be put in what roles. This team is done competing now. All we'll have left is Cabrera, JD and one more year of Price.

The hard part is going to be finding 2 solid outfielders.
