KC celebrating like they already won it..

Thank god you 3 guys all cared enough to post about how much you don't care.

The rest of us can sleep at night now.

You all out of prune juice? Damn.

Someone brought up who they were/weren't rooting for, some of us expanded upon it.

I've just been posting my preference and perspective like everybody else.

I would prefer that KC win; their long suffering fans deserve it more than the Giant fans, who have had plenty to cheer about.

I also am not interested in watching.

And just because a little part of me wants to rub it in....

Great relief appearance it seemed.. But I'm glad the Royals lost. Like the Packers and Bears, and Vikings. Root against your own division..

I watched the bottom of the 5th inning. I had a feeling that the Giants would win once Bumgarner went in there. What a great pitcher. I wish the Tigers had someone as clutch as he is! 25 year old LH and already 3 WS championships and WS MVP. He is going to get PAID!!!

Royals were like .350 verses all Giant pitchers.... except Madison... Who they hit .127 against. That is freaking clutch...I missed it all... Turned the radio on the way home and listened to the 9th and even went into Meijer's after Gordon's Triple.
LOL..

Football is about the only sport I agree with you that I'd root against the Packers and Bears (not really the Vikings), but that's simply because I really hate those teams. Do you honestly really hate the Royals just because they're in our division? Perhaps you do, but I don't get the sense that many Detroit fans feel hatred on that sort of level for KC. Maybe in time if they stay competitive I will learn to detest them a little more, but they are nowhere near the level of the Packers, Bears, Vikings, or to a lesser extent the Indians and White Sox in baseball. I was rooting for KC because it would have made a cool story for their team and their fans, plus it brings a little credibility to the AL Central which has consistently been looked down upon.

So does this result really make anyone feel better about the Tigers, because it doesn't do it for me! Now we just get to hear about how amazing the freakin Giants and Madison Bumgarner are for another year. Oh and that fat dbag Sandoval who swings at balls in the dirt and hits them for doubles and home runs. Oh the joy lol.

I generally listen to 97.1 over 105.1 for sports talk but I tuned in to Mike & Mike today. Of course the detroit stations have more of a local focus so I prefer them but MIke Golic today said that Bumgardner's performance was up there with Mickey Lolich in 1968. It was great to hear a national sports talk show host give credit to an old tiger. usually those guys only pay attention to players from the Yankees, red sox, mets, and dodgers.

Watching this world series was like drinking a quart of prune juice.
over the top frustrations of this years Tigers team.

I hate the giants for obvious reasons, the royals not as much, and I was rooting a 'little' for them to win, American League team and all that.
I only wanted the NL to win in 67, 75, 86, 04, 07, 13.

I like baseball but this Tigers season really burned me out. I imagine I'm not alone in that regard.

I watched the post-season partially to assuage my despair of the Tigers' oddest season I've witnessed in my lifetime.

I think I'm just a hater in general, if it's not my team winning I don't cheer for another team. I'm more interested in hoping one team loses, that team being the one that would impact my team more. I wanted KC to lose because it would lead to more of a financial boom for them, better attendance, season ticket sales, merchandise sales, which would then impact their ability to sign free agents.

Trying to put words in my mouth? It has nothing to with hate or feeling better as Tigers fan. Just like rooting against MSU or OSU, you want them to lose. You would root for the Indians, White Sox? Well good for you..
