JV is now 0-4 in his career in Yankee Stadium and the Tigers are 0-7 in those games. Too bad that game got rained out in Cincy yesterday.

Get StartedTerrible offense terrible team
Glad I only watched the Kinsler play at home... This 170 mil. team may be freaking screwed
Not a terrible offense or a terrible team....just very average which is not good enough.

Since starting 11-2 (23-31 .426 WPCT) since, only OAK and BOS have worse records. And only BOS has a worse record (they actually have 1 more win) since Avila went down, but that isn't a coincidence.
Runs Per Game since April 20th

When it comes to run differential, only BOS and CHW are worse.
I don't see an average team. Maybe on paper. But it is the performance that counts. Ausmus lost this team and has consistently mismanaged his players.
well, they did start 11-2 so you can't discount those games. Just like I won't include the hot start but remove the 13 game stretch when they went 2-11

Let me see....a 54-game sample versus as 13-game sample...
Sometimes a .250 hitter hits .400 for a while if he is lucky. And it will certainly raise his final Batting Average, but he is still just a .250 hitter.
Bottom line...all 162-games count, but they are certainly more of a bottom team based on the last 54 games, then the 13-game start.
But there is another 13 game stretch where they went 2-11. The cold streak and the hot streak count. It doesn't matter where the streaks happen...they are part of the season. Take out the hot streak and the cold streak and there are 41 games where they played 1 game over .500
It don't matter what stretch you talk about. The fact of the matter is the 170 million team is 1 game over after 67 games!
DET started the season 11-2 they had Avila has their starting catcher, Shane Greene was pitching lights out baseball, Lobstein was their 5th starter and 9 games against AL Central teams.
During their 2-11 stint, McCann was their starting catcher, Shane Greene wasn't pitching lights out baseball, Farmer/Ryan were the 5th starter and all the games were against AL West teams.
The exact reason why you should never point to a small sample size. There are far too many variables that can make the result comparisons meaningless.
