MSU Football recruiting

Mike Panasiuk broke the all time bench press mark at the Opening with 43 reps at 185.

Corley was set to commit yesterday but canceled that. He said he will now visit more schools. While he may end up at MSU I think his dad is looking for an SEC cash offer http://highschoolsports.mlive.com/n...-more-schools-instead/#incart_related_stories

It reminds me of what Michigan went through a few years ago with Laquon Treadwell. He had Michigan as the leader and almost committed many times till Ole Miss paid him.

Frustrating part about following recruiting. Just never really know what's going on behind closed doors.

Fortunately it's at a position that this class is deep at. If he comes, he comes.

.....although I REALLY hope we get him. lol

Abdul Adams is attending a camp at Alabama this week with a couple teammates. Our staff gave approval and he is adamant he is not a candidate to flip, but if Bama offers, who knows. Adams is grossly underrated as a RB, kid is a stud.

Bama also offered Hunter Rison yesterday.

Hate to lose them but fuckem,go , we dont need you now. If Adams wants to sit for 2 years he can. I know hes underrated but hyping MSU to other recruits then looking around. Id terminate him, fuck these flip flopping fucks.

I don't have a problem with it. A lot of recruits attend camps after they commit. It could go both ways. Maybe he gets an offer, but maybe he connects with a few kids there and we end up on a few more recruits lists.

Alabama offered Adams, he's still an MSU commit, but I'd say it's 50-50 he sticks with us. Kid is a stud, really a total joke that he's still only a high 3 star. There isn't a better back in the country on film. Elite acceleration, elite vision, and elite elusiveness and cutting ability.

"Abdul Adams is 100 percent committed to Michigan State University," Sean Washington said. "He is not going to entertain the offer from Alabama."

Washington is Adams trainer. Wouldn't be surprised if he got as bump in the rankings though with the Bama offer.

Now I've said it before, I'm not qualified to evaluate high school football film, but with the 2 RBs we've gotten the last 2 classes, dayum. LJ Scott and Abdul Adams have insane film, just different level from high school RB film you usually see. Not sure about Adam's top end speed, might be a 4.5 guy, but from zero to 5 or 10 yards his acceleration reminds me of Ladainlian Tomlinson.

Abdul Adams's offer list is insane: MSU, Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee.

Edit: Bama picked up a commitment from a top 100 RB today.

I hope he keeps his commitment, fing Saban trying to stick it to us once again. Ive watched several youtubes and he ends up 20 yards ahead of people by the endzone. Lets hope he stays...

I think Adams is sticking. And yeah, Adams is a man among boys and DC area football is really good.

Hunter Rison? Not so sure, he's going to visit Bama and has stated he probably shouldn't have committed to MSU so quickly. Bobby Williams is tight with his dad.

Gavin Cupp's offer has been pulled ad he is no longer part of the class. He lied to the coaches and worked out for Ohio State in secret. Recruiting is changing and our coaches have no problem with kids visiting other schools now as long as they are honest about everything.

It's a shame too, Cupp is really a very underrated recruit, fantastic athleticism and versatility on the line.

They've already offered AJ Arcuri, another OT from Ohio. Could be a Conklin clone. 6'7 255, I'm sure they beef him up with a redshirt year.

Given his other current offers are Illinois, Indiana, Bowling Green and Pitt id wager he goes green....

Is it that he worked out for Buckeye coaches in secret or that he participated in FNL without permission? When you say worked out in secret, I picture cover of darkness type stuff. FNL is OSU's premier recruiting event of the year and is anything but secret.

Corley was there

Cupp sounded like a kid that was dying for an osu offer before he committed to us. A lot of those kids stick around because they want a program that wants them as opposed to being an 11th hour offer at osu

As of now I dont think he has an OSU offer on the table. Be funny if he had to opt for Akron.

Correct, no offer. And their class is filling up fast. Maybe five or six slots left and they are pretty well targeted.

Does Dantonio have a hard and fast rule about not visiting other programs after giving a verbal? That was a Hoke thing, I know, but I don't think I ever heard that about MD.

Dantonio's rule now is the commit has to inform the staff that they are taking a visit. Cupp did not inform the staff and he also lied about working out there when asked if he was going. Other commits attended, but were up front with the staff.

Cupp apparently performed very well, stoning a 5 star DE who is committed to OSU several times. He may eventually get an offer from OSU, he's extremely underrated and very talented. This may have been a case of Meyer misleading the kid though to get him away from MSU.

Dantonio has been through this before and gotten burned so he cut ties with the kid so he wouldn't be left scrambling to find an offensive lineman in December or January. Best of luck to Cupp, it's not like he committed the crime of the century, he simply is a life long OSU fan and really wants that offer. Can't fault the kid, he just should have been more up front with our coaches.
