    Seems about right. Top ten in wins, and should be a playoff team this year. I like what SVG is doing here. This is a fun team to watch again.

    Tigers looking to sign JD Martinez to extension

    Good. Get it done. He does tend to go cold in spurts, but always seems to come back on fire after a day off or DL trip. He's a hell of a hitter.

    Fulmer, Boyd & Norris

    I hated that we had to make the trades, but liked the returns we got. Early indications on the trades are looking very good. All three of these guys look like they'll be rotation worthy (or even aces), and Jones also looks like he'll be a contributor soon.

    I just don't see JV, VMart, or Miggy being moved. Mr. I loves his stars, even when they are on the other side of peak. If they are going to swing a trade, I'd think it might be with Iggy, McCann, and/or a young arm or two to start with. For whatever reason, Iglesias seems to be in the dog...

    I'd give Avila more rope (by no means a ringing endorsement), but Ausmus should have been fired last year. Extending him after he's shown nothing is ridiculous.

    What a hitter he is. We've been blessed to have some real amazing offensive players in recent years. Miggy, Victor, and Magglio being the best pure hitters, but also guys like Guillen, Sheffield, Pudge, Polanco, Cespedes, JD, and others who were capable of carrying a team for weeks at a time.

    I didn't understand resting Maybin and McCann when both have been hitting well of late. It all worked out as you said, but his decision making is puzzling sometimes. Ride the guys who are cold as ice, then sit them once they heat up. I don't get it.

    Almost reminds me of Titus Young. Guys is a loose cannon and doesn't seem to understand that the guys he messes with would crush him like a bug.
