not every play, obviously, but you have to shake it up some by blitzing more than once a half to be fair, it's nearly impossible to succeed as a rookie CB when you're left on an island for 20 seconds every snap because of the lack of any pass rush.- lucke

It'll never show up in the stats, but he did affect games with taking double teams and still getting pressure on the QB. He also sweets the edge nicely against the run. I wouldn't touch Sherman after blowing his Achilles late in the season. He's a top CB in name only now. Maybe if he was signed on a 1 year vet min, incentive laden, prove it deal, I'd be ok with it, but his name alone will command a larger contract. Pass.- lucke
