It might be tough for the Pistons to tank if everyone else below them is tanking

The bottom 5 teams are on a collective 40 game losing streak

This shouldn't even be an issue. What was Joe D thinking trading away a 1st round pick to get rid of Gordon WHILE taking back an equally shitty player in return.

He was thinking cap space one year early, could be that he was already eyeing Josh Smith.

"Owner Tom Gores said Thursday that he doesn't know if he would pay a player to play for someone else"

Dumars may deserve most of the blame, but Gores is part of the problem too.

That is a stupid way to look at it. Gordon or CV contributed NOTHING to the team and still got paid. What is the difference if they sit on the bench and contribute nothing for your team or another team? If they would have used the amnesty they would have at least kept a first round pick.

With Drummond out Jon Loyer experiments by moving everyone up a position; Stuckey starts at SG. We'l how well Josh Smith matches up with Kenneth Faried.

The smaller lineup allows more time for Caldwell-Pope and Villanueva off of the bench. Stuckey has a strong first half in the starting lineup with 14 points. Most importantly, Josh Smith at PF is without a 3 point attempt, and is posting up Faried well. Trading Monroe at the deadline really would have given this team a more fluid starting lineup, more flexibility and possibly a draft pick...

Fun fact of the day

The Pistons haven't won a Wednesday game since December 18th (0-7)

Game 68 (3/21/14): Pistons @ Suns

Nice....another quality loss!

14 Games left. 4 games left with teams below them in the standings (@Philly, Bucks, @ Utah, Boston), 2 games with the Cavs and 7 with winning teams.

Those two games with the Cavs are important. They CAN NOT win both!!!

I don't see why they couldn't.
