If this keeps up, we will challenge Seattle for the most wins ever.

We surely cannot keep this pace up, can we? I mean, we're 13-4 on the road right now which is absolutely insane when you think about it. Starting pitching has been untouchable, hitters are firing on all cylinders, the division below us is in shambles, this could be the perfect storm.

But once again, it is only May and things can(and most likely will) change a lot over the course of four months.

Revisit 1911 Hughie Jennings Tiger team mentioned this a few weeks back.
21-2 start..........Up 8
29-9..................Up 9.
41-19............... Up 1.5
59-24................Up 5.5
64-36................. A's tie us.
74-45................down 4.
81-54................down 8.
89-65................Finish 13.5 behind A's

also remember the 2005 Astros's
On May 24th they were
15-30
18-32 and 15 games back. a few days later.
June 7th :)
21-35 16 back...
went
68-38 they rest of the way won division by 11..

Baseball is a funny game.. Historically it is littered with comebacks and collapses. When we clinch we will celebrate..
But man this start is fun..

As long as we win our division and make the playoffs. Whether that is 120 wins or only 85.

You just never know. Our 35-5 start only netted us 104 wins. I just hope we win a title.

Tigers were 11-19 in on 5-11-87 and went 87-45 after that.

No to 108 wins, and hell no to coming remotely close to challenging Seattle's 116 wins.

The other shoe will drop eventually. I think they can win right around 100, but not much more than that, and that's assuming everyone stays healthy. Everyone will forget about how well the Tigers are playing right now when the calendar reads August and September. It's just the nature of a baseball season.

Is this the best start since 1984? The 84 Tigers were 35-5 in 40 games. Just wondering

do we get inglesias back at all or is he done for the year????
