Chris Holtmann

Izzo apologizes to him, but said it’s really important to our team. No biggy

Somebody posted this as the full quote from Holtman:

“Tom apologized in the postgame line for how long the last 2 minutes of the game took. He didn't have to do that. took no issue with the kissing of the floor tradition. Those Seniors have certainly earned it.”

If this is what he actually said, it’s clear he’s saying he had no problem with it and Izzo has nothing to apologize for. The Twitter outrage mob seems to have gotten this one wrong.

Edit: apparently Holtman said something to a ref during the waning minutes about how they should do the ritual after the game. Then after the game said he said that out of frustration because they were losing badly and he wanted to get to the locker room with his team. He expressed regret for how he reacted and explained it in the quote above. I don't get why twitter thinks that is so unforgivable. People need to stop looking so hard for reasons to be angry.

I’m more annoyed by the CBS play-by-play jackass who kept calling Xavier, “Pittman.”

He did it at least twice.
