Red Sox vs. Tigers Preview: Last series before the break.
The Red Sox have suffered a heavy post-World Series hangover in 2019, but still carry a very talented roster.

It bugs me when we have sub .200 hitter and they just let pitches go by. Swing at the freakin' ball Mercer.

I just got home from Friday night auction. Really the Tigers resign Al! Well did not see this one coming.

Tigers pitchers tonight are not just a hit machine. They are a run machine, give them all they want.

I've been saving this one for the right time. But I'm a thinking there may never a right time any more. So here goes. Is the girls fast pitch college series over? Tigers could get a submarine type pitcher(s), that could be better than there current relievers.
Just a thought. Try something.

Tigers downed by rain, as rally comes up short and bullpen foils comeback attempt.

Rain can't wash away Tigers' losing ways at Comerica Park.

THE SATURDAY SURVEY.
Totally Tigers

We know what you?re thinking. You want to sound off on the Al Avila extension given late Friday afternoon. And you will get your chance on Sunday when the format allows you to more room to write your thoughts. So let?s share our reactions then after time allows for more thoughtful and cohesive responses. In the meantime?

The Saturday Survey offers another way for readers to weigh in on a relevant topic. So here is a poll to gauge the pulse of our baseball-lovin? peeps.

As always, we welcome your comments, so please vote and then submit your reasons ( 4 sentences max!) for how you voted in the usual comment box. Don?t forget to come back later and view the results!

Nicholas Castellanos, Shane Greene, Matthew Boyd and Joe Jimenez are on the trading block with the first two on it for 2 years now.
Who will the Tigers manage to trade by the July deadline?
Castellanos
Boyd
Jimenez
All of them
Only the pitchers
Half of them
None of them

A few observations from my 2nd Row Upper Level 1st Base seat at Comerica Park Friday night.

1) This new Public Address Announcer is just plain awful.

2) I heard seven clappers when the Tigers players were announced pregame.

3) 27K Attendance announcement was more like 23K there live.

4) No greetings or interactions by Ushers nearby.

5) Even the 3-4 vendors that popped their heads out of the tunnel (for the games entirety), actually walked the aisle steps.

6) Minorities in attendance may not have exceed 1.5%

7) Jersey-wear by Tigers fans were at an all-time low.

8) Paying $11 for two Icies at the Concession Stand floored me.

9) (Enroute) The two Double Meat Wahlburgers we ate in Greektown pregame were fabulous. Possibly the best burger I've ever eaten. Way to go Paul, Mark and Donnie.

I can't answer about most of that but I don't think there has ever been a minority following. It's always been awfully low since I was a little boy.
