Wow is this guy ever putting up some eye popping numbers in Toledo. He's on a Chris Shelton like run. Might be worth riding him out for a month till he cools off. 12 home runs and 34 RBI in 19 games. 3 homers in last night's game after being named International League player of the week. His current line is .390/.442/.1000 for an OPS of 1.442. He also has 9 doubles to go with the 12 bombs. We don't even have a set DH anyway so why not give this guy a shot and see if he can inject some life into this limp lineup. He's probably not the only guy down there who deserves a shot. The whole team is hitting well and has won 10 of the last 11 games. Other guys performing well: Omir Santos, Q Berry, and Danny Worth.

It is a shame but 32 year old guys don't get much of a shot now days anymore... I agree we needs some life right now... He is 6'6 270.Big boy... Can't hurt DH verses LHP..See what happens.

No way they drop a current guy on the roster for a 32 year old. They should but unless they finally delete Inge, it isn't happening.

Cut Inge, play this dude for a week until he cools off, then work on a trade for a 2B. Get it done.

Can't see the Tigers purchasing the contract of a 32 year old who's done nothing until now.

No point in adding someone to the 40 man roster unless he has a chance at significant playing time, this guy doesn't.

Really unfair to say he's never done anything it's like no one really ever gives people a shot. Lahair in Chicago is a perfect example. Eldred has hit very well in the minors but has never really been given a consistent change in the bigs.

Well in his time in the majors he's hit .204 in just under 300 pa's and struck out over 100 times, that a K for every 1 in 3 PA's. Probably why he's not been given much of a chance.

Pretty sure we have an open spot after Al Al went on the 60day DL.
