Apparently Jace Howard deleted a tweet that said "damn I'm gonna miss him". Hunter may be gone despite not being on a single draft board out there. He's very unlikely to get drafted, so I'm not sure the rationale on entering the draft if that is what he decides. Best of luck to him no matter what.

Some news after the first week of summer practices. Jones likes what he's seeing out of Diabate, Bufkin, and Collins. Hunter and Houstan will be joining next week.

Couple notes on practices from MGoBlog:

Freshman Tidbits

Sources tell me that freshman Moussa Diabate is the best natural defender on the team "by far" during early workouts/scrimmages. Don't worry about positional designations, "he will play". Apparently his level of disruption has been absurd and he doesn't even really know what he's doing yet in terms of scheme.

Will Tschetter has impressed with his inclination to be physical and figures to eventually be a rotational player down the road based on how he's looked early on.

Really loving what I'm hearing about these freshmen. Tschetter, to me, has way more untapped potential than anyone. I expect he'll shock a lot of people in the next couple years. That said, Houstan, Diabate, Collins and Buffkin should all be the studs from this class. The last time I was this excited about freshmen was with the Fresh 5 - GR3, Mcgary, Stauskas, etc
