On May 29, 1996 a day of infamy in Red Wings history.
In Game Six of the Conference Finals against Colorado, Wings center Kris Draper is slammed into the boards from behind by Claude Lemieux in a loss that eliminates Detroit from the playoffs. Draper is seriously injured, suffering facial lacerations and fractures to his cheekbone, jaw, and nose. The play becomes a central incident in the bitter rivalry between the Avalanche and the Red Wings.
FU, you pos tiny prick coward claude lemieux.
