Ironically I said the same thing a couple day ago. "Germans love David Hasselhoff."

I was sending my friends screenshots from his punchlines on weekend update. they were all so memorable, that you really didn't need anything else

That was the last time SNL was consistently funny to me, or relevant.

After that -with some rare exceptions - most of the humor was more akin to "this is supposed to be funny because it is comedy show" rather than actually being funny.
