Royals @ Tigers 8-17-16 Game #120

Al's bullpen impoding again sadly. Man this is so frustrating because we wasted good starting pitching in this bad stretch.

Hold on now still get the bottom of the 9th where the tigers will have due up

Who gives a shit
What difference does it make
Followed by they all blow dead goats to end it

Management has provided a pen and they need to be used. Maybe he should have rode the hot hand and went with Green???

Or maybe left the guy in that had only given up one hit through seven but I get it hundred pitches and stuff..not allowed in today's game

White flag coming in finally, shoulda just started the inning with him and saved us all some time

well....we all know how that could have gone. Sanchez has a history of imploding late. If he goes back out and gives up a hit or 2 the armchair managers would be out in full force.

4 to 1 now going to need a little more than those three. Should the Tigers get to the 5th batter ; how did get into this mess. We'll be ok.

Justin Wilson has allowed runs in 7 of last 9 appearances: 7.2 IP, 17 H, 11 R, 10 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 4 HR.

Shortly after Tyler Collins, who took a 6th-inning fastball off knee, left game in Detroit.
OF Tyler Collins has left the game with a right knee contusion and is considered day to day, according to the team. He was hit by a pitch in the sixth inning.

Both Justin Wilson and Justin Upton combine for some rough moments in the eighth inning.
Wilson, who recently received a cortisone ejection for an elbow issue that has been bothering him, serves up a game-tying first-pitch home run to Alex Gordon.
Later in the inning, Upton has trouble fielding a line drive to left from Raul Mondesi, who motors around the bases for a triple.

Anibal Sanchez' no-hit bid broken up in the seventh inning by Eric Hosmer's two-out double. He has recorded a no-hitter previously, back in 2006 while with the Marlins. Here's a crazy stat: Sanchez entered the game with a 6.31 ERA, which ranked 110th of all 110 pitchers who entered the day with at least 100 innings pitched, according to research from EON Stats and Info. Shows just how inconsistent and unpredictable Sanchez has been this season.
