Tigers extended Sanchez in 2012

Tigers offered Scherzer 144m in early 2014
January 2015 Scherzer signed with Nationals for 210m

I was just posting what we offered him compared to what he got. He took a gamble and it paid off.
 
The Good News is Great news this day, game 28. Fulmer wins his 3rd game with a 8 ip, 2 run one earned,2 walk 9 strikeout outing. For the Tigers 15th win. Green came on and pitched the 9th getting a strikeout.

Offence scored 7 runs to get the 7-2 win. V-Mart got 3 hits raised his average up to .257. Doubles were had by Cabrera 3rd, V-Mart 4th, Adduci 4th. Only to be out doneby Triples by Adduci base clearing,2nd and Iglesias rbi 1st. Romine, Cabrera, Adduci had 2 hits in support of the 11 hits.

Green has gone 4.1 innings and 4 games of scoreless baseball, and 6 strikeouts.
Fulmer has gone 6 + in all 6 of his starts.
A good start to road series/9 game trip. Zimmerman goes next for his 4th win. A good time to get on a roll.
 
The Good News game 29 the offence scored 5 runs enough to win a many of games. Tigers got Double from Castellanos, Triple from Romine. two hits from Castellanos, V-mart, and Iglesis.

Zimmerman pitched 5.2 innings giving too many home runs.
Tigers Bully Pen got 3 scoreless inning. Hardy .2, A Wilson .2 J Wilson 1.0 Rodriguez .2 was very good. It's what happen after that is mind blowing. Lossing this game in the 9th inning is one thing. But having the last out 0-2, and not getting it. Bad loss is a bad loss.
 
GAME 30, had good offence after a bad loss game. Doubles by Romine, and Castellanos. McCann Home run in the 6th gave the Tigers a 6-5 lead. Machado rare start got two hits.

Starting pitcher Norris was only able to go 4.2 innings. Making the Bull pen to once to give 3.2 innings of scoreless innings. Green got two of those innings. Hardy .1, J Wilson 1.0, Rodiguez .1. Then Bomb-Rod showed up. A possible sweep turned into well another one got away!

Romine is 4 for 14, a walk and 4 (FOUR) runs scored in the last 3 games. In the lead off spot.

All 12 of Adduci's appearances this season have come in right field, but he played center the last two years in Korea. "I’m sure he’s adequate at worst," manager Brad Ausmus said about Adduci in center field. Adduci has hit .317/.391/.512 since being called up, so having him get some time in center would allow the Tigers to keep playing one of their hottest hitters after J.D. Martinez (foot) returns this weekend. May 8 - 10:56 PM

I could live with Adduci over Mahtook
 
Again, Adduci has not played CF in the Minors or Majors.
idk if he did in Korea.

I read somewhere that he did play Cf in Korea. Not sure if that was his primary spot or not.

Also, Da MahTook is 2 for 3 off robbie ray with a double. Only other guy that has seen him is Upton and he's 0 for 6.
 
The Good News is Great news this day, Game 31 was a win. Verlander got his 3rd win with 7 strikeouts. Leaving 3 more innings of bull pen work again. But the pen came through. Hardy .1, Green .2 got the 7th inning under control. A Wilson got the 8th. No save J Wilson for the 9th with the 4 run lead. But a good game to get it closed.

Offence delivered 7 runs against a team averaging giving 4.18. And scoring 4.9 a game. Tigers are now -1 on the Diff. Leadoff Romine did not get a hit. His two walks did produce two runs! Got to like that. Cabrera Double(4), Uptoh Homer(6), and McCannon's 7th Homerun high lighted the XBH. Mahtook 2 run single was helpful as well.

This was a great win for the Tigers. Justin 3rd win. Kept Tigers above .500 A great Bully Pen job! Of course Tigers used 4 relievers. How often can they do this. At some point going only 6 by the starter, Sanchez will have to be used.

And as all ways the Good News is great news with a Tiger win.

The Good News is short for game 32. Chad bell got in the game and did a good job. Boyd did go 6 but took the lose. No offence and homer Sanchez sealed the game.
 
The Good News is Great news this day, Game 33. A Tiger victory takes them to 17-16. The offence scored 7.Doubles by V-Mart 5th McCann 1st, Homeruns ,Upton 7th, Romines 2nd, THREE hits by Kinsler and McCann lead the 11 hit attack.

Fulmer 7 innings 3 hit 1 run 7 strikeout got him to 4-1 to lead the staff. Green got a two strikeout inning. Rodiguez even got in a good inning in the 9th to end the game. Could be his role to close non save games.
Tigers should get a some wins this series as the Angels are a sub .500 team for a reason. They are not that good!
And as all ways the Good News is great news with a Tiger win.
 
The Good News game 34. The Tigers fell to 17-17 that's .500 again. Can there be good in that. Well yes, They're still in 3rd place 2 games out of 1st, very reachable to catch the leaders. Got to start winning 2 out 3. Win series and good thing happen. This Division is very winnable. But words have to be turned into deeds on the playing field with wins.

The offence was a complete fail with only 4 hits. The only silver lining was J.D. getting his 1st hit of the season in his 1st at bad coming off the DL. Are LH batters did not hit the right handed pitches. Too many swings and miss are not helping as well.

Pitching Zimmerman did not get through the 6th inning again. The bp did a good job with Bell going 1.2 scoreless innings. Good/Great job Chad. Then the white flag went up. Over coming 5 runs is hard enough but SEVEN is really asking the offence a whole bunch to over come, Brad!

A shout to the better pitchers/relievers holding Trout to no hits till homer sanchez is a great job. They lowered his batting average from .355 to .336 in two games.

Tigers can win. They have got to play up to there best more than .500 though.

Offence
Doubles by Upton 7th,Avila 4th, Collins 4th. Homeruns Collins 3rd & 4th. Collins three hits, lead the Tigers offence. Kinsler 2 hits gives him 10 for 28=.357 since getting back.
And as all ways the Good News is great news with a Tiger win.
 
The Good News is Great news this day, Game 39.Tigers get the win 20-19, beat Bundy and the oreo's. Tigers win back to back games for the first time since May 2nd when they won three in a row for the 3rd time this season. Tigers have won 13 games in back to backs, two 2 games & three 3 games blocks. The other 7 have come in every other games.
Tigers need to get on a better cycle. Doing it against Texas would be Great.

Pitching
Zimmerman wins his 4th. Becoming the 2nd Tiger to do so! Others need to kick it in gear. Zim 6 ip, 7hit, 4 er, one walk, 6 so was low lighted by 2 hr given.
The bull pen Hardy .1 gave a run, followed by the Bully pen Green 1.2, 2 k; A Wilson 2nd save.

The hits came at the right time J.D. 5th 3 run shot got them tied. V-Mart 3rd got them ahead. Alex 6th double brought home the 6th winning run. Avila had 2 hits.
A series win over an eastern division is always good. This shows the Tigers have the team to get it done.
And as all ways the Good News is great news with a Tiger win.
 
The Good News game 40. The Tigers fell to 20-20 that's .500 again. Am I getting tired of writing this opening. But it's better than being under .500.

Pitching was not as good as it needs to be. Norris has to step up his game. Yea 8 strikeouts in 5.2 innings is good. But 5 runs is not. Seven hits with 2 homeruns & 2 walks were his undoing. Starting pitching has got to do better than this. To many innings for the short bull pen will add up at some point.

As for the bull pen it found some life from two that came life for this game. Sanchez pitched 2.1 innings of 1 hit 2 strikeout, scoreless innings. Followed by Rodriguez 1 inning in the 9th. Bringing the weight of this loss on the offence imo.

As for the offence Seven hits by the Tigers did not produce the needed runs. Tigers had there chances but could not cash in. To many low average hitters in the line up. Seven batters of .250 and lower is not going to get it done.
Kinsler does have a 6 game 9 for 29 .310 hitting streak going. Upton hit his 8th double. But needs to make more contact.

Tigers need too cut down on their strikeouts on offence, and throw more 1st pitch strikes, stop falling behind in the counts! Strikes lead too OUTS!

The Good News is the Tigers are/should be better than their record. They need toswing at fewer pitches out of the strike zone,& make more contact of those in the zone.
