Ahhh, feels good to get our recruting fix. Its been awhile. Let's hope this starts a mini domino effect. The summer was Noah's Arc, players were committing 2 x 2. Doubtful tho, as most kids are waiting to make their decisions till the all-American games and signing day.

Did that guy really think he could run through a 4x4? hahaha

haha he did. and sadly, the guys hand locked Red Rover style behind him did too. Not only did they think he would obliterate the 4x4 like HackSaw Jim Duggins, but he would go through it with so much speed and force they would need to be there for backup support.

You ever seen their football team?

Yes. And prior to 2006 too, even. CU and the new coach are a poor man's UM, trying to get back to the style of play that won in the 90's and early-2000's. Great facilities and a great campus and good academics.

Dude Colorado will never be able to recruit on the same level as Michigan and why would he settle for a poor man's Michigan when he can get the real deal

Expected visitors for this weekend:

Commitments
Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell Academy offensive tackle Blake Bars
Cincinnati (Ohio) Colerain linebacker Joe Bolden
Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison tight end Devin Funchess
Sylvania (Ohio) Southview safety Allen Gant
Detroit Cass Tech linebacker Royce Jenkins-Stone
Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive lineman Kyle Kalis
Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison defensive end Mario Ojemudia
Detroit Cass Tech cornerback Terry Richardson
Mentor (Ohio) defensive end Tom Strobel
Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer defensive end Christopher Wormley

Canton (Ohio) GlenOak running back Bri'onte Dunn - maybe

LMAO. I already stated the possible WHYS... and LMAO at blasting CU. That 'black QB vs white QB' thread showed your age .... I'm going out on a limb to say you never saw CJ, Bienemy, Aunese or even Oaks.

Trying to predict what a 17yr old boy is going to do ......

Buddy, CU does have a winning tradition with other perks to draw recruits. Vic what exactly led to that programs downfall? Was it bad coaching coupled with poor recruiting?

Well, McCartney (former Bo assistant) left to go do work for his Promise Keepers cult after his daughter's boyfriend and father of his grandchild died of stomach cancer (Sal Aunese). After that, it was Rick Neuheisel and his sweatervests and Open Mike nights with his acoustic guitars and softer program where Nebraska was 'just another game' on the schedule. CU followed him with Gary Barnett, after his successful stint at Northwestern but after a few years Barnett had a couple scandals on his hands and an AD who didn't like him. Throw in a distasteful quote about a player or two and he was done. At that point, Boise State offensive maven Rick Hawkins came in and started recruiting the best WAC players his staff could get, including his son Cody who he promoted to starter ahead of others ....kids left, recruiting slagged and now former CU tight-end John Embree is doing the same thing as Hoke in terms of being a 'CU man' and going back to physical football.

It took a while but when you're at CU you need either CALI pipelines (McCartney) or Texas (Barnett) and need to keep CO kids home ....who started going to USC, Nebraska, etc

The best thing CU has done in years is join the Pac12 - great fit and solid recruiting base .... 300 days of sunshine, the Flatirons and hot chicks notwithstanding.
