Projected to finish at 54-108

What's mind-boggling is we may only pick 3rd in the 2020 MLB Amateur Draft. Both Kansas City and Baltimore have worse W-L records currently.

Their -153 Rdiff is a whopping 73 runs worse than the royals, and merely 17 runs better than the orioles who have played in 6 and 5 more games respectively than the Tigers.

That stat alone tells me that they are the worst team in MLB, and its not exactly neck and neck.

That tells me we get blown out more often. When I was a kid I learned a loss regardless the score is still a loss. Weather it be 3-2 or 10-1. A side note: The ALE is a bit tougher than the ALC so regardless the run differential catching the Orioles will be difficult.

And more games just means we have more opportunities to lose.

Since May 12th:

DET 9-34 .209 WPCT 151 RS 257 RA -106

BAL 11-35 .239 WPCT 203 RS 298 RA -95

KCR 15-31 .326 WPCT 183 RS 243 RA -60

Assuming same rate

BAL 36-96 .273 WPCT --

DET 36-88 .290 WPCT 4 GH

KCR 44-89 .331 WPCT 7.5 GH

Since June 8th:

DET 3-17 .150 WPCT 62 RS 116 RA -54
BAL 5-17 .227 WPCT 101 RS 151 RA -50
KCR 9-14 .391 WPCT 99 RS 110 RA -11

There is not much difference between BAL and DET. BAL scores more runs, but has worse pitching. DET should easily finish behind KCR. The question is whether they can "catch" BAL.

Since I wrote this quote above, Tigers have a 2-11 record.
(Guess)
This 2019 squad surely surpasses 2003 season's 119 losses campaign, should they move Castellanos, Greene and Boyd. If that occurs, advanced season ticket sales heading into 2020 may not reach five digits, based on projected trend / a low team salary number expected for April 2020.
