The ‪#‎Tigers‬ today have acquired infielder Erick Aybar from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for infielder Mike Aviles and catcher Kade Scivicque. Additionally, the #Tigers have recalled OF Steven Moya from Triple-A Toledo and he will be available for tonight?s game vs. Kansas City

I'm just happy to get rd of Aviles , good guy but the dude is just terrible . Aybar isnt a lot better but def is an upgrade off the bench .

ya Aybar isnt exactly lighting it up in ATL, but hes def. an upgrade over Aviles. Hopefully a change of scenery does him well as hes a nice guy, but just couldnt hit worth a lick while on the Tigers..

According to Tigers GM Al Avila, the sum of all the team's mounting injuries is ultimately what prompted the team to trade for Erick Aybar. Avila said he feels like the former All-Star provides an offensive upgrade off the bench, (though it should be noted that Aybar has had a rough year, including a career-high 16% strikeout rate, according to ESPN Stats and Info). Team still confident that SS Jose Iglesias will return during original two-week time frame.

Aybar has been better since the All-Star break. Aviles has been downright shitty all year.

I like the move.

Couldn't stand Aybar when he was in CA but glad aviles is gone guys bat is atrocious
