Tigers vs Mariners 6-22-16 Game 72

Fulmer falling apart in the 5th. Hit back to back batters. 4-1 with 1 out and bases still loaded.

He should never sit next to Pelfrey in the dugout between innings.

Ryan closes the door. DET 4-1 going to the bottom of 5.

Fullmer is inexperienced, he looked human and was shaky all game, smart to pull him there.

Moya with a 2 Homer game. Can you say Star Of The Game?

Moya looks like he has big time potential. Certainly has been good since replacing Martinez hitting .327 with 3 HRs.

I've heard comparisons of Moya and a construction barrel when it comes to fielding ability but it isn't like Aviles is Willie Mays. Moya clearly wants to stay.

Tigers are down a position player no? Couldn't they just drop one of our dead weight relievers

Ryan and Greene coming up huge so far. Fans would have set Ausmus' car on fire had they done poorly after pulling Fulmer early.

Can moya play 1b for when miggy eventually replaces vmart? Miggy could probably hit until he is 50 when he is a dh.

Entering tonight?s start, Fulmer has thrown 74 2/3 innings this season between Triple-A Toledo and the Tigers. He threw 124 2/3 innings in 2015, and the Tigers would ideally like for him to end up in the 160-inning range, which would represent roughly a 25% increase from the year before.

Tigers bullpen (Ryan, Greene, Justin Wilson, Francisco Rodriguez) retired all 14 batters faced. Detroit takes 5-1 win over M's.
