This video is hilarious. It's of Delmon in high school when was "a five tool player, or six tool because he closed games too". They talk about his great hand eye coordination, his ability to throw a 96 mph heater, and his strong throwing arm from the outfield. 9 years later he is strictly a DH, and an average to below average DH at that. He had so much potential then, and has had a below average career, boy how things change over time.

Delmon looked the same as he looks now. Wonder how such a 5-tool player can regress into a statue with a noodle arm in the field.

Did you notice in the video when he ran he did the same short-stride "fastwalk" that he still does?

When and how was he ever considered fast?
