I'm Still Basking in the Glow of a National Championship

Let's hope this one doesnt get discredited by all fans outside ann Arbor too.
well, those fans pretty much discredited themselves.

I mean, one school in Michigan has had to vacate wins recently, and it's NOT UM.

Can someone articulate what exactly Dusty May did that's a violation, besides "I just hate Michigan so much that I want all the bad things to happen to them."?

There's one thing in common between Beilein, Bakich, Harbaugh, and Dusty May all leaving, and the Sherrone Moore mess, and it has nothing to do with any rulebreaking.

Warde should have been gone last winter. Dusty winning the championship and bungling his way into a good hire (Whittingham) saved his ass. Now Dusty is gone, and after another season or two, assuming Warde's still there, I imagine Whittingham will leave as well, under similar circumstances.

People are saying he did it with a stolen roster that had an average age older than the pistons, but thats just probably sour coaches.

People say a lot of things when they lose and can't compete, and in my mind, this is just the same thing.

"Tampering" = I don't have proof of anything, and since I couldn't beat them on the court/field, I'm going to do the next best thing: spread rumors and whine about it.

Reading 11Warriors or the RCMB during 2023 was the same thing:

like 90% of those fanbases are just unrepentent Michigan haters; literally all -consuming hate.

the 10% that actually have lives and careers outside of watching other people play sports would post something like "COME ON, this whole team is going to be playing on Sundays, and Harbaugh has won everywhere he's been. Maybe just admit they have talent and are well-coached and get better ourselves."

...and it would get ten thousand downvotes, and the 90% would run crying to the mods to delete the comment.

LOL, this could be the funniest post you’ve ever made. It’s Warde’s fault that Harbaugh ran one of the dirtiest programs in history. It was Warden pulling the strings behind the sign stealing and recruiting violations. He probably told Moore to have an extramarital affair with a junior staffer knowing he would lose his mind, break into her apartment and threaten to kill himself. And if these tampering allegations are true, I suppose he was the mastermind behind that too - because all of that would reflect so well on him for hiring all these low character people.

I’m not defending Warde but to say it’s all him and him alone is so obviously and laughably insane. There is no limit to the depths you will plunge to excuse this clearly dirty athletic program all while gleefully pointing fingers at literally any other program. And it’s rotten through and through, not just at the top - at least when it comes to football and quite possibly including basketball.

Personally, I think you just can’t stand having an African American in such a high profile position at uofm.

No one should be allowed to leave. I know some will disagree, but the fact is, if everyone left, Michigan cannot field a team. There is NO portal in. A little fact thats missing in all this.

Lol, one guy was 23 and he didnt start playing basketball until he was a senior in high school. Everyone else was the normal age of a college athlete.

Tampering allegations from who? Spartan fans? Now that's laughable. If you read the CBS Sports story on their front page, you'll understand why he left. Also, Michigan's program is only as dirty as everyone elses.

it's not as dirty as everyone else's. the NCAA wanted Harbaugh gone because he was hammering home the players deserved to be paid. The NCAA has history and form there, in going after people who speak out, and have for decades.

Moore was an unprofessional idiot. Warde should have done something about that situation, but let it fester, and it blew up on him and the university.

By the rumors I've heard, Warde is a dick to his coaches, threatened by their success, and goes out of his way to put them in their place unnecessarily. That drove Harbaugh to look back at the NFL in 2021, Beilein and now Dusty to leave for the NBA, and Bakich to jump to Clemson.

Warde did a lousy job responding to the Conor Stalions thing as well. that blew up and became a season long story. Harbaugh keeping that team focused and winning a title, going 15-0 along the way might be one of the greatest coaching jobs in all sports history.

Warde is a world class bumblefuck. It's only because of Harbaugh and May is he still around, and he drove both of them out. We'll see how long Whittingham puts up with it.

There are a lot of very serious allegations about Dusty May "tampering" with his roster...

...And once you start digging into the allegations, you see they all come from anonymous MSU fans on the internet.

They can have open tryouts and field a team of walk-ons. Or they could come clean, realize this is another scandal in a scandal plagued program and do the right thing with a self-imposed death penalty. Who would really notice? 2025/26 would just be a blip on the radar nobody would remember - except the shameless uofm fans who don’t care about cheating.

Assuming of course the rumors are true. Realistically, even if they are the ncaa will likely turn a blind eye or give some token punishment like a 10 day show cause for May. They don’t like to go hard on their pet programs.

LOL, I see you’re taking a page out of MC’s playbook - lie and hope nobody checks Al Gore’s World Wide Web. Lendeborg turned 24 last September - before the season even started and who cares when he started playing basketball? Burnett, Gayle and Tschetter were all 23. Uofm had one of the oldest rosters in D1 this past season. Stop the cap!

A major college basketball coach suddenly left for the NBA? That’s it. Repent and believe in the Gospel.

Actually, do that anyway.
