Why is there an ESPN Milwaukee?

ESPN Milwaukee reports free agent RB Ryan Grant is mulling an offer from the Lions.
Grant has already visited the Patriots and is believed to have received an offer from them as well. We're skeptical that there would be much guaranteed money and a secure roster spot from either organization. At this stage of his career, Grant is merely veteran insurance in case the teams' top options fail to develop or remain sidelined by injuries.

very interesting. If he does come that certainly means someone is going.. K Smith, maybe? I'd rather have K Smith though.

They're anticipating Leshoure being suspended the first few games. After last year, I don't blame them for wanting a little more insurance.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him (or any vet RB, if they sign one) to get cut once Leshoure returns.

He's 29 so he has a couple years left so I wouldn't mind. Why did he miss the 2010 season, what kind of injury?

I'd like to see Keiland Williams getting the ball more..

this would be a great signing. a good receiver out of the backfield and is capable of a nice season on the ground. He'd be perfect working out of the shotgun, unlike most of our other backs.

If he would make the roster he would take the spot of Maurice Morris(who is unsigned), not Kevin Smith. Kevin Smith, if healthy, is a lock for the roster.

My guess is they wanna bring a veteran in and get him to know the system so they have him when they need him. If Leshoure doesn't get suspended and all our backs are healthy, Grant wouldn't make the roster. Bringing him to learn th system in case of a injury during the season thought is a good idea.

I have always wondered why there isnt an ESPN Detroit. We have all the major sports and 2 major colleges.

Me too. You figured LA, Chicago and NY would be the first 3, even though LA doesn't have all major sports but Milwaukee? That's crazy being over Detroit.

Smith isn't going anywhere, the issue is Lashoure is likely going to end up with a x number of games suspension, and Best is 1 more head hit away from retirement. I was a little susrprised they didn't grab an RB in the later rounds of the draft so exploring the FA market isn't surprising at all. glad to see it actually. Not sure if Grant is as good as he used to be though????

I never was a grant fan.

And I think it'd be a bad fit. He's not very good at making people miss and the lions don't make the holes for him.

He'll fit right Tony. lol. I'd rather keep what we got now, personally. I don't see him adding a whole lot if he does come.
