tOfficial gameday weather thread

Got it. I just never meet anyone from Michigan who likes it hot.

I like it either way too hot, or way too cold and wet - either way, just as long as it's miserably uncomfortable.

I went to see M play UCLA in the Rose Bowl stadium (not the Rose Bowl Game itself) whatever year Henson's Junior and last year was - freshman Navarre was starting for the injured Henson - it was record heat in mid-September, like a heat index over 120. They hauling people strokin' out left and right. I felt like my internal organs were on fire out there in the sun.

And I've sat through lots of cold and wet weather late November in the Big House.

So either way.

I like it hot like that too, but I don't get the "internal organ on fire" feeling. I'm pretty comfortable in high heat. We had a group go to the hottest Indy 500 ever and I was the only one who didn't drink a single bottle of water. Just beer the whole race. I wasn't really sweating so I didn't need any water other than what I drank for breakfast. The 16 beers were sufficient.

I found a pic of you:

I've heard that before. auto racin' is all the same to me though.

I like craft beers. I can barely choke down shit like Coors Light or Miller Lite. Bud Light has always made me gag.

I drink a craft beer too for the most part, Mickey's grenades.

The craftsmanship is more in the shape of the bottle rather than the beer though.

Ha! My dad just bought a bunch of those. Gets a good "what the hell are these?" response when opening the fridge.

As it currently stands, it looks like we'll wake up having either experienced some rain or having it still raining. Which is actually good because it looks like the rain cut down the high for the day and by the time kickoff rolls around it will be in the high 70s and partly cloudy. Which is much better than almost 90.

DON'T tell me you drink light beer...

I drink coors light or labatts blue light on the lake every weekend. We have a "no glass on the beach" rule with so many kids running around, and the heavier beers I usually drink fill me up too much to put away 8 or 9 on the water. I refuse to drink canned beer inside my house. My fridge and my cooler are really two different worlds. lol.

Good beer is starting to make it's way into cans. Cans are a great way to store and ship beer.

If good beer was intended to be in cans, God would have created it that way in the first place!! :lmao:

Block light better than glass, better seal to oxygen, doesn't shatter, cheaper, cheaper to recycle. If you're going to pour your beer into a glass anyway, cans are the better means of storage.

That has nothing to do with the can shaped glasses I've seen in a couple places.

We have a great brewery in Indy, Sun King Brewing, that only cans their beer for the exact reasons you listed. They told me it basically acts as the smallest version of a keg until you pour it into your glass, which is how it is supposed to be consumed.

you can't smack a guy upside the head with a beer can like you can do with a beer bottle though.

was kind of excited... picked up two sixers of Two Brothers' Brewery: (in cans) a pale ale and an IPA, and was going to watch at my friend's place, but he dropped the ball... and it looks like we'll go to the bar instead. bar doesn't have beers as good as that.
