Well, considering our QB last year cost the team 2 games due to missing a wide open receiver deep, I'm not sure you can say that this disqualifies anyone.

That was also chalked up to 'bad timing' that got better as the year went on ..another reason why if it is O'Korn, fans need to expect something similar versus getting to the point where Peters/McCaffrey/etc become consistent at QB year over year.

I don't think this Grad Transfer thing is a viable, long term approach.

You can't say that if Rudock hit those deep throws, it would have guarenteed won those games.

And on one of those against Utah, the WR didn't even try to lay out or make a play.

O'Korn has had an additional year in Ann Arbor though; he's a traditional transfer, not a grad transfer. but I agree with you, it's not a viable long term solution.

I do wonder if Harbaugh felt he needed as many transfers as he got, or just decided if they wanted to come he'd welcome them.

And in a "Chicken or the Egg" way, there would be less competition without Harbaugh ...kids/QBs want to come play for him.

Gotta be honest, Peters has the best arm out of any of them, but he's too raw. O'Korn looks good, but that dude just looks to run every play.

I think Speight might be in the front runner, but damnit he has to fix that throwing motion.

You are wrong and you need to watch O'Korns snaps again. If you observe again, he takes off when his receivers a clearly covered and he also takes off when the rush in his face. Also, he used his feet multiple times to stay behind the line until something broke. Sort of like the huge Wangler drop and the Bunting drop on the last drive. You will also see no one open on his scramble for the td. His weapons for the day: Bunting, Harris, Wangler, and Morris. I'd say he did pretty damn good. He wasnt a starter at Houston his freshman year because he ran a lot. I would really like to see what this kid can do behind a full line and the starting receivers.

I think O'Korn will be pretty damn good throwing to Butt, Chesson, Darboh, Ways, Perry, Bunting, and Wheatley Jr this year. That is a gold mine of weapons and his running ability will make the offense that much more dangerous.

If Smith runs like he did against Florida all year, our offense should spit hotter fire than Dylan.

I expect O'Korn will be starter and for reasons 24 says above. The Offense could be sick and a mobile QB in addition to that is textbook Harbaugh style at Stanford & SF. A few scrambling 1st downs and TDs here and there are devastating to defenses.

I watched his snaps dude. I don't see what you do. Running is a last resort for a QB. He literally took the snap, looked for a millisecond, and went. You have to give your WRs a chance to finish their routes. I didn't see that whatsoever.

He only had 2 drives and both were touchdowns. Watch it again. Running was his last resort. You cant sit in a pocket when it is not there and you sure as hell cant pass it to the WRs when they have their routes jumped right away or they are too slow to get into their route. He had less weapons thus he was more impressive in my eyes. When I first watched the game the other day, I thought he may have been taking off too soon. After rewatching 3 times, I feel differently.
