Head of Big Ten officials agrees Bolden call vs MSU was wrong

granted second hand accounts of guys who played for him is not as sound as the first hand impression of an awe-struck toady who met the guy a couple of times while he was on his best behavior, but it's all I have to go on.

All I said that I did not come away with the impression that he was a "jackass." And they were two separate work-related encounters, each lasting more than an hour, not casual ones or social ones.

and we should be surprised by that? a fan, meeting him to interview him comes away with a positive impression, invalidating anyone's negative impression of him - at least anyone who hasn't met him. basically, your valid reasons for thinking he is not a jackass invalidate any reasons others have for thinking he is a jackass? is that about right?

I waited on Bo and his wife a few times at Cottage Inn in A2 ...he was always very nice and friendly and about how you'd expect some big deal former Coach/Tiger GM to be.

Tipped well too.

His son, "Schemmy" was a dick and more "do you know who my Dad is" about his last name when being put on the list for a table.

Not in any way. In fact a lot of the line of questioning focused on his dismal RB record. The first time. I'll say it one more time: I did not come away with the impression that he was, as you claim, a "jackass." And all I did was ask more questions about how you arrived to your impression.

So next time my 6 year old takes a digger, my reaction shouldn't be "pain don't hurt"

The language of the article referred to abusiveness and humiliation as a coach and a parent. No, I don't think "pain don't hurt" is abusive or humiliating - it's the same as "suck it up" or "bite the bullet."

Although technically it's not grammatically correct.

it could be grammatically correct if you were telling someone named Pain not to feel hurt, or not to hurt some third party.

"Pain, don't hurt."

unravel? it's funny how biases enter into reading these posts. How did we get a reprieve from the beat down last year? That game was a "beat down" up until the last play? a game in which uofm got outplayed in every aspect except special teams (until the last play, of course). A game that was in question the entire evening? you should have someone explain what a beat down is and then check the box score.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not discounting the importance of special teams. They are a big part of the game and games are often won and loss with them. If not for special teams play, rather than needing to score, we could have been in a position to burn out the clock on our last drive.

I never said last year was a beat down. I just said you got a reprieve from the inevitable and not winning again for a long time. Luck happens, I'm sure we will have a couple in the future that you guys can pout about. I just think this year against Sparty, Harbaugh is going to prove a point and a lot of them.

From your post, it sure sounded like last year was a reprieve from the beat down. Not winning for a long time is "inevitable"? That's a bit optimistic, but you're entitled to you opinion. Don't you guys have a bunch of turnover at skill positions just like we do? Particularly on offense? From what I know of the two teams we could be looking at another game like 2012. Except that it could be your defense stopping us instead of our lack of offense.

Nope, all the stars are back. We only lost our center, qb, and 3 shitty linebackers. A favorable front 1/3 of the schedule gives everyone time to get in sync. I really like this teams chances.

Very optimistic

I had to re-read, but I think he's referencing "all the stars are back", meaning we only had 5.

Oh......well if that what was meant, its a resounding yes, except for quarterback. Butt, Chesson, Darboh, Smith, Lewis, Peppers. Id say our skill positions are pretty much intact.

Isn't doppelg?nger the German word and isn't Doppelt double in German?

I did voice recognition texting. Maybe Siri knows more German than I do.

I believe M has the most experienced team in the B10 and one of the more experienced starting rosters in CFB.

I think they are going to win the Big 10, get into the playoff as the 4 seed and probably lose in the first round to Bama.
