so the run game averaged less than 3 yards per carry last Saturday. People are complaining.

Kyle Kalis responds that fans don't know much about football...

Didn't someone else say something similar to that and get roasted alive

His response of UCF stacking the box and taking away the run and that Michigan adjusted to this by passing, isn't really that great to me.

The run game was effective in spots...like the goal line, but I still found it disturbing that Michigan averaged such a low gain. It was possibly even worse than that considering there were a couple of longer runs and a few long end arounds.

Why is Michigan letting UCF dictate what Michigan does? Am I wrong to believe that the best o-line ever at Michigan shouldn't be able to block UCF? I still think they should be able to get 2 or 3 yards and they were not.

Happy with the score. That kind of line-play will not get it done against better teams and better teams have a better secondary than UCF had.

A Michigan fan that doesn't know very much about football ;)

Jim explained it as taking what the defense was given them. They were selling out to stop the run so he threw over the top and burned them. Hopefully the running game will get better as I am worried too..

I read a breakdown of the running plays that noted most of the worst offensive plays on the ground resulted from blown assignments by the FB or WRs on the outside. the line didn't actually block that badly considering it was 5-6 (depending on whether you count the TE) against 8-9 all day.

so some people were missing blocks. reading Kalis' response was going between, Michigan fans are stupid and everything is fine, we all did a great job.

I did read an article somewhere where it said that 4 out of 5 lineman graded out positively. That report did not name the 0-lineman that graded poorly. This report that I read kind of cuts into Kyle's response, also.

Everything is not A-OK. Wouldn't it be better to just say, "We have some things to work on. We will strive to make things the best."

I mean...I guess I wouldn't say much if Kyle didn't go around pre-season saying the thing about this being the best o-line at Michigan ever...

They stacked the box and sold out all day to stop the run. We still gained 450 yards total.

Maybe we should have forced the run all day a la Hoke. Because MANBALL!!!

Well, Bo and Lloyd used to do it, too.

After a while, an opponent tends to soften up. Harbaugh did it at Stanford, as well.

To be clear, are you saying the current crop is the best Michigan O-line ever? I'm not studied on this year's team but that would surprise the heck out of me.

I just don't see the cause for concern as much after the game ended, and more analysis put the result in perspective. We took what they gave us and built a huge lead.

If we hadn't gone to the air when they stubbornly stuck to defending the run, you'd be complaining about that instead.

I don't typically respond to jwlcoh, but i will this time

No, i am not saying this. This is something that Kalis has been saying during fall camp. it might not be word for word, but similar statements are out there.

Well, we have to talk about something

My point is more towards: there were some missed assignments...

He shouldn't say that Michigan fans are stupid about football

He shouldn't go around saying this is the best o-line ever or saying similar things

He should be more humble.
