Get StartedCentral Michigan won 44-21 yesterday, they are now 3-0 for the first time since 2002. Cooper Rush 352 yards passing and 6 TD passes.
Dumb cal running back icing the game for Cal drops ball at half yard line to go up 14.
How many times does this happen .
Not sure why cal gets it back.
Texas player picks it up. Should have been Texas' ball at the 20yrd line. "No immediate recovery"? Bullshit. Bad call by the refs. And who was the ref that called it a TD? That guy should be reprimanded for that. He dropped it at the 1, ball wasn't even close to crossing the goal line.
I agree it was a bad call. Werid refs were from the big 12. The replay both was pac 12.
Here is the dummy dropping the ball.

At first, I thought it was a horrible call, but the more I've seen the replay, the more I'm convinced it was the correct call. The Texas player that picked it up didn't really pick it up to recover the ball. It was more of a courtesy, picking it up and giving it to the refs.
If the whistle doesn't blow it's a live ball, no? Even if the Texas player didn't know exactly what was happening, a presumably live ball wound up in his hands.
If that is the case, and he didn't go down in the endzone, he fumbled to the ref, no?
