I love playing against Wisconsin, especially in the big house. Really in for a big test this weekend. This game will tell us everything we need to know about our offensive line and Wilton Speight and I'm pumped.

Either way, after this week, the national media can stfu about our soft schedule.

Also, I've heard talk that Mone and Drake Johnson may be ready to play. Could be a huge boost just in time.

Put all pre-game stuff here, just as last week.

Cool.

I guess I don't really have anything more to say at this time...uh...Go Blue...

We need Chesson to have a big game. I've been disappointed with him this year. Coming in to the season I was hoping he would put up 800-1000 yards with around 8 tds. Granted we have had 3 blowout games where we are running the ball and killing the clock, but we def. need more from him in Big Ten play.

Speight really seems to favor the Tight Ends and Darboh. Could be that Chesson has had issues with getting open or, as you said, just a product of having blowouts and not needing his deep threat as much.

In any case, I want to see how Speight deals with the Wisconsin pass rush and their much more capable DBs. I know Colorado has a decent secondary, but Wisconsin has the total package.

Offensive line play will be huge. I am assuming they will stack the box and throw heavy run blitzes at us to force Speight to win the game with his arm. If the Line doesn't hold up, we're in big trouble. If it plays well and the pressure is manageable, it is 100% on Speight to throw an accurate ball. If the line holds up, we win. Maybe by a lot. If not, our D is going to have to create turnovers.

I am scared of Speight's weak throws. He will need to put a little more zip on them this week.

I was at the TIE in the (49-14-1) record .

It was at Camp Randall

I'm not worried about the zip on his throws. I'm worried about him staring down his receivers. That Shelton kid is really good for Wisconsin.

Wisconsin has a solid D, but they haven't been tested. LSU's offense is a pile of dog waste that couldn't even complete 50% of their passes against Jacksonville State and it's not like Fournette struggled against Wisconsin. He averaged 6 YPC and 13 yards per catch. The rest of that offense is just putrid.

LSU - 99th in total offense, 110th in PPG
MSU - 117th in total offense, 104th in PPG

Their other two games aren't worth mentioning except that they struggled against Georgia State.

We are their defense's first real test of the year. We are 26th in total offense and 4th in PPG. I don't believe their defense can slow us down enough to keep their offense in the game. Our D should be able to wreck their offense.

Me too. The last couple of weeks his passes have looked pretty weak, and he has thrown into coverage and was lucky the pass wasn't intercepted. His scrambling has saved several plays. But I am also concerned that he will try to press and wind up making mistakes against probably the best D he has faced so far.

GO BLUE!

The emergence of Higdon has made me kind of forget about Drake.

I do like Higdon's running style. Need to see more of him before making any crazy proclamations, but I could see him being the most consistent back out of the bunch. I thought he looked pretty quick last year, but he would get immediately buried by multiple defenders on almost all of his runs.

Waiting to see if they're gonna be able to get the Tigers' baseball game in today; it seems like it's the second coming of the Flood of Noah goin' on back there...

EDIT: Oh, right, why is this important on this thread?

Showing it could last all the way through Saturday...

I've been watching the forecast and it doesn't look terrible for Saturday right now. Weather.com's hourly forecast shows the chance of precipitation like this for Saturday:

8 AM - 25%
9 AM - 25%
10 AM - 25%
11 AM - 45%
12 PM - 40%
1 PM - 40%
2 PM - 25%

That is as far out as their hourly forecast goes right meow.

My cousin in-law (huge Wisconsin fan) just texted me and said Vince Biegel is out Saturday. Foot surgery. Probably their best defensive player.

Thought I saw something about the kicker being out for the season as well.

I too. Want to see more chesson - was frustrated at Colorado how they kept going to darboh who was well covered

I also want to see some non-seniors at WR and TE

Was just about to post this. IMO, Watt is their best player, but Biegel is the leader for sure.
