Michigan wins!! (postgame discussion)

349 yards to 159. The only reason they scored was the pick that got brought back inside our 30. Other than that, they weren't close.

Nope. Interesting pointing out statistical domination.

I always say...statistics don't mean shit...scoreboard!

Sometimes that saying works for me, and other times notsomuch

Going to need to shore up the kicking game

Defense very solid. It felt like only 2 Wisconsin players had catches.

Bummer about Newsome. Hope the line play improves (At least in terms of cohesion) after a week of practice or 2

Rutgers next week, then bye...so yeah...we have time to work on stuff here.

sucks about Newsome...looked really bad

Very poor on 3rd down conversions

Especially when within 30 yards of goal line

Have to develop better passing game -

Did love peppers ar qb

Thank g-d for our defense

Harbaugh said "it doesn't look good" for Newsome. Thinks surgical procedure needed. Also said Nordin "working through something"

I can forgive most of the offensive struggles today. We were playing a great defense and we should have expected it. What I can't forgive is Speight throwing into double and triple coverage and not trying to get rid of it when under pressure.

Aside from a few blitzes and penalties, the OL played good enough and the DL was great as always. LB play was bad most of the game and the secondary was mostly good.

Lewis' pick rivals Woodson's MSU pick, in my opinion. Amazing.

Giant win today! D is solid. O not so much. Seems like a combination of Speight not reading the D, throwing into coverage, under throwing or overthrowing receivers (even the TD pass was a bit underthrown), and some strange play calling. Allen needs to have a sitdown with a sports psychologist to get his head right. He has the leg strength clearly, just needs to get his mind right. Seriously, JH needs to get him to a sports psychologist because if he makes the kicks today this game was not close. They need to have him able to make these kicks.

I just realized that I didn't hear Rashan Gary's name. Not once. I don't even remember seeing him.

I don't remember seeing him, either, but even if he was on the field, it was almost like we were afraid to put the freshman in the big game. They made appearances, but they were not used often at all.

The good: Defense, defense, defense. Lewis and Peppers are incredible. The DLine was making plays against a pretty formidable OLine from Wisconsin. They got absolutely nothing going against us all game long. Also Ty Isaac had a strong game. I love that on any given week we have 4 backs that could really make an impact. One week it was Evans, last week it was Higdon, and now today it was Isaac.

The bad: Sloppy play on offense. The team did not seem ready to handle Wisconsin's defenders and were forced to hold/commit penalties often. Speight was OK, but seemed to get worse as the game progressed. He saved his best pass for when it counted most though. Smith disappointed me, especially with his pass protection. Seemed like a lot of miscommunication and missed blocking assignments as well.

The Ugly: Kicking game....no need to elaborate. This is a major concern moving forward.

And Ty Isaac looked like our best back today.

He falls forward and he gets a lot of our short yardage 1st downs. On another squad he would be tearing it up. We had 11 1st downs rushing today, I think Isaac had close to half of them.

Our RBs = 35 for 150 yards for about 4.3 yards per carry.

That's acceptable against any good defense in the big ten.
