Spartans hold on to beat FGCU at home, 78-77 after FGCU's buzzer beater is waved off.

the clock started when FGCU initiated the inbounds pass, with 1.6 seconds remaining, instead of when the ball was inbounded. call was upheld on review, which sounds kinda ridiculous. link to why the official rationale for allowing this is bullshit.

Sagarin has 1-2 FGCU ranked 127th... not a good position to be in regardless.

You can see that the timer was going to start the clock as soon as the ball is released when the first throw was blocked. There was initially 2.4 sec on the clock, and after the first attempt was blocked there was only 1.6 sec on the clock. So, the block took almost a full sec off the clock. Gotta watch the Sparty Timekeeper like a hawk.

It wasn't just the last play either. They ****ed the clock up on the last 3 plays of the game. It was blatant. It was pathetic.

-Winston calls time out when the team didn't have any.
-FGCU gets the rebound and calls TO immediately, only to lose a full second.
-Bridges smashed the ball back out of bounds and somehow a full second ran off (the worst of the 4 IMO).
-The last play

you can fool the refs,

but you can't fool Sagarin.

He dropped MSU to 33rd.

FGCU moved up to 103rd.
