Alabama...not really...how many wins do they have against the current top 10? but they are undefeated and they are Alabama, so they stay #1
Ohio St? Well, they didn't look much better head 2 head on their home turf for most the day yesterday. Sure, they won, but that game was a coin flip. That being said, i can see why someone would say, "Well, they won the head 2 head game, so they are better." If you are going to say that and use that, then you have to save that for later and use it the exact same way...
Who else? Personally I can't think of anyone...
Clemson? No wins against top 10...if Michigan plays their schedule, they're undefeated
Washington? Again, no wins against top 10...Who have they beaten?
Penn St? They have 2 losses...let's go back to the OSU discussion. Michigan beat PSU by 39 points. If you say OSU is better due to head2head, then how can you say that PSU is better than MIchigan? I don't care about this "when" crap. It can be argued that the backhalf of PSU's schedule is just easier than the front half and that Michigan's backhalf was just harder than the front half. Michigan beat PSU. Michigan has 3 wins against the top 10 and just played the #2 team to a virtual tie on their home turf.
Wisconsin? Again, if you say that OSU is better than Michigan due to head2head, then how can you turn around and say that UW is better than Michigan? How many top 10 wins does UW have?
Oklahoma? Please...
Colorado? ehhhhhhhhhhh no
so, yes, I am suggesting that the big 10 championship game is meaningless to this discussion. Clearly, OSU and MIchigan are both better than PSU and UW. Who cares that by some weird formula and division situation that those teams are going to play for the big 10 championship?
What do you think? OH yeah and fans of some random 3-9 team that don't even have the RichRod excuse going for them don't need to reply...
