Detroit Tigers MLB Draft 2026 Preview: Pitchers.
TMLR
The Tigers 2026 MLB Draft thread is already up.
Via Tigers Notes: Tigers pitchers have turned in a 3.15 team ERA in June, the best mark in the majors. The Yankees are the next-closest A.L. club way off in the distance with a 3.81 team ERA this month, Detroit's last June in this neighborhood was a 3.32 team ERA in June of 2006. It's last better June (non-strike edition) was a 2.82 team ERA a mere 46 years ago in 1980.
The Scott Harris plan seems to have been over-emphasizing pitching and caring less about offense - relying on year-over-year growth, McGonigle, etc. It's worked on the pitching end; it's failed on the offensive end. And the result is a team way under .500.

The 25-year-old needs to rank within the top six among AL outfielders to advance to the second round of fan voting, thus opening the door to starting the All-Star Game.
