Here's the real reason Casey Mize isn't pitching tonight.Casey Mize sat 94.1 mph with his slowest four-seamer hitting 93.3 mph two starts ago. He sat 91.9 mph in his most recent outing and fell to under 90 mph in *every inning* of his most recent outing.
 
The Tigers are 7 games under .500 because they have an awful bullpen, struggle defensively, and are extremely inconsistent offensively. They are not 7 games under .500 because they are “unlucky”. I guess they have been unlucky since the 2025 AS game.
