AD still working on fixing the OSU/MSU home/away problem

OOC is wholly irrelevant to anything related to this topic - it's only about the inclusion of the new shitbag schools in NY and DC and the moronic way in which they were integrated into the schedule. Add to that, the B10's insisting that PSU and msu become "rivals" by playing on the final week every year.

And how lovely that these ruffian sparties all puffed up can lecture MICHIGAN about schedules when they have only played osu 6 times out of the 9 years Mike Dantoni has been head coach and his record vs osu is (2-4) in regular season. the win in the BigTen Title game over osu came during a season when the teams did not meet in the regular season.

Funny how these "champs" talk all big when they've managed to duck osu 1/3 of the time during the programs most successful era in history.

But forget about that ...you play the schedule you're dealt and want to face tough teams. Let's go back to the B10 before the NY and DC TV markets were added ...msu and osu alternated in terms of home/away on the UM schedule and for season ticket holders and fans, you had at least the one "rival" game at home each season. Now, with the imbalance, you have a schedule like this year's that have ZERO rival games in A2 ....zero. Unless you dig up the ghosts of Barry Alvarez or Bill McCartney or pretend that penn state is anywhere really relevant as a 4-12 record vs MICHIGAN outside of the Rich Rod era.

That's the problem - the home schedule for fans is stupid and it has nothing to do with the who, it's the where and the fans.
FYI the MSU vs PSU year end thing is a thing of the past, we play them in early November next year.

No kidding! It's not like Michigan doesn't have good opponents lined up in the future.

They are not doing this out of schedule difficulty. People need to cut that crap.

The Fans and posters on message boards have absolutely nothing to do with this. The AD of Michigan is doing this. He has his own motivations.

IF i were in the market for season tickets, I wouldn't look at the line-up and say..."oh 7 home games, 1 good one in the OOC, and 6 mediocre games...best one against Wisconsin..." No. that would not work for me. It'd be nice to have a good one OOC AND a good one in conference. I think I can speak for most Michigan fans and say that we think the conference season is more important.
If you're looking at season tickets as a one year investment, maybe that makes sense. I don't look at my season tickets as 6 football games but a lifelong commitment to supporting MSU football. Over my lifetime I'll see us play Michigan and OSU plenty, as it stands now it's twice on the same season, but not a big deal overall.

Cool.

I actually tape all the games and avoid TV and the internet for 3 years at a time so I can binge watch them all at once...then 3 more years of waiting.

I celebrate Christmas Dec 25th and 29th every other year too.

It's all the same to me. It averages out over a lifetime. Just as good.

Yes. Many people that I know look at season tickets as a 1 year expense. It's not really an investment. Well, unless you're one of those people that turn around and sell half your tickets on stubhub for triple the cost.

Michigan doesn't NEED my support. If I don't buy a ticket one year, someone else will. I'm not really supporting anyone in this deal.

Many season ticket holders that I know are pretty irked at this year's schedule and the money they had to pay for it.

How a Spartan fan looks at his situation is completely irrelevant to this...at least to me.
