Toledo’s game today was postponed but they did win their 3rd in a row yesterday 4-3 over Omaha . They improved to 8-16.
Game was tied in the 9th 3-3. Jones was 2 for 5 and drove in the winning run. Most of the pitchers were decent.

Despite the plethora of injuries that greeted the Tigers even before the season started, this has turned out to be a really good year so far. The team is first in the AL Central and tied with the Yankees as the best team in the American league (through Thursday’s games).
There have been lots of surprises along the way. Starting pitching has been excellent as well as the bullpen. Combined pitching ranks near the top in all of MLB.
Many feel-good stories are out there, too. Players with high expectations but a history of low performance have had resurrections to their careers. Even utility players have turned out to be some of the best fielders and hitters.
