Congrats Brady!

An incredible Super Bowl game. Congrats to Tom Brady for leading his team on an amazing comeback win.

Probably should have mentioned Alan Branch as well. Two more rings for UM.

a lot of firsts/records in this one:

- Biggest comeback in Super Bowl history
- First QB to win 5 Super Bowls
- First coach to win 5 Super Bowls
- First Super Bowl to go into OT
- most receptions in a Super Bowl (James White)
- first time I've ever seen Bill Belichick look happy or show emotion

also:
- half time show that was actually entertaining even though I hate Lady Gaga's music
- commercials were better than they've been in a long while

The emboldened are not facts.

Was not impressed with any of the commercials

I hit PAUSE and then fast forwarded through the halftime show. Wasn't going to watch that crap!

The highlight (as far as I am aware, I didn't watch it either) was a formation of drones. They were trying to make this:

and got this:

Apparently, they taped the drone stuff earlier this week. Still worried about putting that make drones in the air above a crowd.

Yeah, the commercials sucked. Too much politics and not enough creativity. How the **** do you pay millions of dollars to get your ad on during the super bowl and give them a commercial that's old? Highly disappointed.

I probably watched 10-15 at most because I was flipping over to American Pickers during the commercial break.

But, I just don't understand why these companies have to do these long, elaborate stories with such a boring payoff for their commercials. The ones that stick the most are the quick, simple 25-30 second ones that are funny, cute, whatever. I don't need to watch a guy's journey from Germany to nothing to find a budweiser.

Again, politics. Budweiser had to make some statement about immigrants being vital. And while I agree with that, it's a hard pill to swallow when all you really want is to watch the game and escape from the last year of bullshit that we've all gone through.

I think some of it is a different animal. Some companies just try WAY too hard and you can tell right off that bat. Simple stuff is best for me when it comes to commercials.

4-1057. That's the W-L record in NFL history for any team down by 25 points.

Yeah, Brady deserves all the credit in the world. But what in the flipping hell was Atlanta doing, up 8 with the ball on the 25? How about you do a couple of conservative plays and get the FG? At that point up 11 with 2 minutes or so requires the intervention of an onside kick and those are damn near impossible.

New England's comeback was amazing, but they owe Atlanta a TON for completely turtling.
