Football: *Update on Robinson/Gardner situation* Hoke says he intends to keep Devin Gardner as the starting QB for Michigan's bowl game. He noted even if Denard Robinson's health is 100%, he plans to utilize him in different positions like we have seen the previous two games. Hoke said, "He can throw the ball, but he can?t throw it the way and with the confidence that he?d like to throw with. That was one reason we weren?t going to put him out there in a situation where he?s not throwing it as well as he knows he would like to. That would be unfair."

I've been thinking it a while, this could end up being a repeat of the 2008 Cap One Bowl with us thinking, why in the **** didn't they do that all along!

I know we have beat it to death but if only they had done this for the Nebraska game we could be playing for the B10 title.

The coaches likely never considered this scenario before, and Bellomy's bed-crapping exercise forced their hand.

I wish they would announce Wisconsin taking the field in Indy in this fashion:

"And now representing the Leaders Division...the MOST UNDESERVING TEAM TO EVER APPEAR IN A CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS!!!!!!! WITH A 4-4 BIG 10 RECORD THAT JUST EDGED OUT PURDUE, who just fired their coach, THE WISCONSIN BADGERS!!!!

The crowd erupts in silence.

They should put Denard at rb every single offensive play, especially for plays that he isn't even involved.

You can put 2 rb's in the backfield, you know?

Actually Ga. Tech this year for the ACC is worse and UCLA last year in the PAC 12. Both had records of 6-6.

Neither team was .500 in conference play or in 6th place in their conference. That's what Wisconsin is based on Big 10 conference record.

Pure shit.

I will be pissed if DR throws in the bowl game... Can you imagine a 4th and 2 call at O$U with DR at QB and trying to throw a dagger down the field. At least it would have had a chance to make the first down but we get a snap to DR run right up the in to the teeth of the defense.

Well, I could see them trying that play that they did against ND where Smith tried to throw a pass that was intercepted in the endzone. EXCEPT using Denard as the RB (passer). That play might actually be successful with someone that has experience throwing a TD pass.

Having Denard and Devin in the game at the same time creates all sorts of possibilities for drawing in the defense and making big plays. Michigan should have been using this offense as soon as Devin showed that he could excel at QB and Denard was healthy again. If Michigan would have run this offense in the 2nd half vs ohio*, Michigan would have won that game.

Michigan is close people. The last two years we've had one loss completely screw us up. Sparty in 11, Huskers in 12. We'll be in Indy before you know it.

I hope Borges comes out with one hell of a gameplan for Denard's last game.

Yeah, things have really taken big steps to get Michigan back to being THE PREMIER ATHLETIC PROGRAM in the nation. Football, basketball, both moving in the right direction for post season play for years to come. Softball has continued to be good. Hockey has been good, but needs to get it self righted this year. Excited for the future.

I too hope that Borges and Hoke come up with an O scheme that capitalizes on the talents of D and D. The only thing is if they do and win the bowl game big, then people will say "see what could have been...". Ah well, GO BLUE!
