DiNardo: UM Better Than He Thought

I read some of DiNardo's comments on-line last night ...dude was gushing about UM. Same with Dave Revsine ...looking forward to watching the BTN report today.

I am too. I'm happy with the QB news. Both DiNardo and Harbaugh have said the QB play is better than it was last year at this stage. That's encouraging.

We knew coach would have the QBs ready, but it's still nice to hear.

looks like my prediction Speight gets the nod will be correct... but its going to be close.

I think the edge is due to confidence... Speight has a little more of that quiet, (maybe some would call arrogant) personality that speaks of a guy comfortable enough to lead without worrying about making a mistake. he reminds me of Tom Brady.

O'Korn seems a little too self-deprecating, too folksy... that might play better in a different place than Ann Arbor.

both seem to be good QB's, so it's a good problem to have.

It's funny that the skeptics of M football this year ..including some of the anonymous B10 coaches interviewed recently, say "yeah, but who is the quarterback?!"

Then you have the BTN covering the camps saying that the team is well ahead of where it was last year with Rudock coming in.

So I guess although we don't know who the starter is quite yet, it's likely to be a guy who won't be 0-1 after the season opener, regardless.

Based on how the first half of the season looked, I don't think the bar was set very high at QB during last year's fall camp. I'm sure having 1+ years with Harbaugh under their belt has given Speight and O'Korn a leg up compared to Rudock at this point last year.

That said, I'll take that news all day. If we get steady QB play throughout the year that should be all we need.

Well, if you remember last year, the skeptics would say, "Well, yeah, you're QB is going to be the guy that got benched at Iowa. Your going to win 5 games this year!"

You have to laugh at DiNardo too ...guy can't coach his way to stay in Bloomington yet his opinion matters...?

I remember him gushing about um's smashmouth o-line a few years ago. Guy is a complete moron

Just now watching the btn show and he's praising the o-line...Ha.

And whoever that dude is in the studio along with mason is one pansy ass bitch.

Just watched the BTN video segments - Harbaugh on set totally owns it. Knows DiNardo was an AA, etc.

Love it.

I figured everyone knew to take DiNardo's opinion with a mountain of salt. Just thought that was implied. I should have included the picture I originally planned:

If you want more honest opinions of a Big Ten team, you should probably start by ignoring what a Big Ten Network-employed "analyst" is saying about them. or, yes, take it with a mountain of salt. but ignoring is easier.
