Leading QB (yards) - Wilton Speight

MVP Defender - Taco Charlton - 10+ sacks and a ton of TFL. 1st round pick. Guaransheed.

You can use my template if you want or add other predictions of your own. Let's try to be serious. 6 days left until the season FINALLY starts!

Big ten title game Loss to Iowa in rematch; costs us a chance in CFP - with OSU somehow sneaking in as a result (despite 11/26)

Monster: I'd be thrilled if you were right about Isaac (unless that meant Smith was injured)

Beat Iowa in the Big 10 Championship and we are onto the playoffs!

I didn't realize that UM only has 3 road games all year. My original prediction was that they would win the Big 10, make the playoffs and lose in the first round. I think they are going to lose a game in conference. The one that makes sense is @ OSU but I'm not sold on OSU this year.

I think they will lose one game but in order to keep my "big picture" prediction right I will say they lose to Iowa. If they lose to OSU, they don't win the conference and don't make the playoff. I don't see them losing to MSU because of what happened to them last year (revenge)

The optimist in me looks at the schedule and thinks "we win every game this year, even @MSU & @OSU because the prospect of losing to either or both of them AGAIN seems too painful to comprehend.

but the realist in me expects a loss or two.

the realist in me also hates season predictions because going back to 2007, other than 2011 I have been on the bad side of my prediction each year.

the only nice thing about having the MSU-OSU games both on the road is we get 5 Big Ten home games those years. yay.

I just think he has more speed and a better overall skill set. Fumbles buried him last year, but if he has that under control, I think he's capable of being the lead dog with drake and smith contributing.

So tough to project Isaac. He hasn't had more than 40 carries in a season since 2012, and that was in high school against poor competition.

I do think Isaac will be a nice weapon, but as long as Smith stays healthy I think he's the man. Particularly if he continues to run like he did in the bowl game.

Bowl - No playoff, but should get a major bowl game against a really good team. I agree and think those projecting playoff are doing so because then the story is "hey, many folks had the Wolverines going to the playoff this year ..."

Leading Rusher (yards) - DeVeon Smith. Isaac may have a more balanced run/receiving combo but Smith leads in rushing.

Leading Receiver (yards) - Jehu Chesson. The big play WR ...scores will be spread around but Jehu will put up the yds and YAC.

Leading QB (yards) - Wilton Speight

MVP Defender - Peppers. And he comes back for one more year.

Freshman of the year - Bredenson. Honorable to Gary but the D is so deep and so good he won't have the stats he will have later on.

Iowa is so overrated. Their offense is garbage. Desmond King is really good, but our D is going to eat Iowa alive.

agree they're overrated, but they always play us tough. and since they miss MSU & OSU (again) we'll likely be their toughest game.

I will be more worried about this matchup if they have a loss or two at that point than if they are undefeated. I'd also rather play them earlier in the schedule. we play them Nov. 12, two weeks before OSU.

I was going to complete the game by game breakdown but figured I need to see week to week. But ...I did have a win at Iowa followed by a TRAP loss to Indiana and rebound win in Columbus that next week.

Hoosiers are going to be tricky in there between the two road games.
