Game #30: Detroit Tigers @ Houston Astros, Tuesday, April 29th, 2025, 8:10 Pm

Lee had him 0-2 and 1-2 and cant put him away.
Trail 6-2. AJ did not manage very well.

Vest never should have pitched to the Lefty.
Game could still be 3-2

Malloy just cant hit mlb pitching as he fails to get the runner in.
Sweeney stinks too..

We have gotten good results so far this season from good pitching, coupled with the hopes of some key hits at the right time. Eventually, the pitching won't bail us out until we have at least a couple more reliable hitters. So many strikeouts without the matching power numbers....

But I feels like we wasted to games with a 3-0 lead and a 2-0 lead. .
Now we gotta figure out how to stop the losing streak.

I still think AJ managed this game poorly. Why is vest with 2 outs in a 3-2 game pitching to Alvarez? He had already given up 3 or 4 hits.

Should he have brought Maeda in at that point, or Lee? Pretty limited options, and putting Alvarez on just brought up Paredes, who has mashed against us (and did in the next at bat). We just don't have the tools.

Holton, Gunther , Hurter , plenty of options . The point is vest had already given up 3,or 4 hits and it was still 3-2. Alvarez hit made it 4-2.
Doesn’t matter what you do. Vest was getting lit up. I just feel you have to pull him. Or walk Alvarez to face a righty even though he is only a .219 hitter. He has always been pretty clutch.,

5 runs is very different from 2 runs, though. We scored 1 run off of Hader in 2.1 innings of work in the playoffs.
But he gave up the big hit to Ibanez that scored 3 runs :) even if they were not all his. Won the game.
